The Pioneer Trail

Description

Get acquainted with colourful and inspiring characters. Discover their history and the highlights of the development of the different municipalities in the Coaticook RCM. Let yourself be guided through the region's bucolic landscapes.

This tour is one of a kind in Quebec, composed of works - headstones - representing builders of the region. The suggested route will take you to picturesque roads where, in addition to driving between valleys and vales, you will discover the natural and built heritage of the region as well as a proud and welcoming population.

THE WORKS ARE TALKING TO YOU
Take The Pioneer Trail and be charmed by voices from the past! At each headstone, the characters tell about their time through a sound-making device, this in addition to the historical pictures that appear on your cellphone: 200 years of history to be explored!

Note that the most favorable periods to enjoy your visit are from april to december (considering that most audible devices are removed during winter). But the GPS-guided tour, including pictures and presentations for smart devices as iOS and Android, is accessible all year long.

NO INTERNET OPTION
Simply "preload" the heritage route in the App, on your mobile device.

The Pioneer Trail is a production of the Table de concertation culturelle of the Coaticook RCM (TCCC).
