ON SITE

The 10 self-guided tours of our network Voices from Another Time will allow you to discover the Coaticook region from a little-known and unique angle.

At each site, a guide will accompany you to unveil its secrets, and you’ll hear more than a dozen pioneers—ghosts from the grave—share their tales from another time. Together with its photographs and archival documents, this audioguide will help make each of your cemetery visits a memorable one.

Tiny burial grounds, where American settlers were laid to rest, hidden in the turn in a country road, graveyards in hamlets and villages overlooking beautiful landscapes, vast urban cemeteries resembling parks… each of the 10 cemeteries on the tour has a history and several stories to tell. With monuments of great artistic merit, they are all unique, reflecting the identity of the Eastern Townships.

Enjoy!
