On the left (east side of the road) you see the Church of the Epiphany, built in 1888. Across the road is the Union Church built in 1881 and which was shared by a number of Protestant denominations.
Of which denominations are the two churches?
The left-hand church is Anglican. The right-hand church is called the Union Church because it housed four Protestant denominations whose congregations cooperated in its building; Baptists, Advent Christians (popularly called Crisis Adventists), Evangelical Adventists(popularly called Herald Adventists) and Methodists. A plaque on the interior south wall of the church commemorates these congregations.
