Notary Philippe Angers

Philippe Angers, notary from 1884 to 1919, lived at the heart of Beauceville, in his impressive Queen Ann house. He acted as registrator from 1919 to 1935 and is the author of the Angers Act on inactive mortgages that earned him an honoris causa Ph.D. from Laval University in 1931.

His leisure consisted in reading, gathering and publishing the local history from Beauceville and the Beauce area.
