The Old Convent

The Old Convent

The old convent was built in 1936 to replace the one built 20 years earlier with the retrofitting of a building whose foundations left much to be desired. For 26 years, it welcomed pupils from grades 1-11, mostly from the village and the surroundings. It was then used for various purposes: funeral home, sewing shop, municipal council meeting room, etc. It is currently used as a theater.
