Kateri Church

The Church

In May 1899, while thinking of the possible passage of the railway, the Oblates, helped by some workers from Pointe-Bleue, began building the church a little higher than the chapel.

The population of the community (Pekuakamiulnuatsh) and the neighbors are active for its edification. Some organize bazzars to collect donations; others buy objects for worship or decorative items themselves.
