Anne Renard gallery

Artist Anne Renard in the art gallery, located in the Inverness Art Foundry building, a former Methodist church.

'' I come from an environment very sensitive to art: father doctor, but also poet and musician, brothers and sisters sculptors, painters. My job as a decorator does not fully satisfy me. After three years, I studied at l'École des Beaux-Arts in Paris then, in Avignon: a very enriching environment alongside César, Gardonne and other great sculptors. But for me, the master who must direct us, educate us, is not outside, but inside of ourselves. It is the most beautiful wealth that we have ...

In 50 years of creation, there was despair, loss of confidence, anger and many other abnegations as any artist can feel. But thanks to this wonderful inner strength, impossible to give up. The call has always been the strongest. Today, no aggressiveness or suffering in my bronze sculptures.

Happiness, well-being ensues. Of the dream ! We really need it! "
