Bernard-Valcourt Pedestrian Bridge

The Bernard-Valcourt pedestrian bridge allows walkers to access both sides of the Madawaska River in downtown Edmundston. This bridge has become a true city icon.

It was built with the help of federal deputy Bernard Valcourt, a politician who is well known in the region, which explains in part why elected officials chose to associate his name with the structure.

The bridge offers beautiful views of the surrounding area, including the historical site of the Fortin du Petit-Sault. This is the last point of interest of the tour offered in Edmundston on BaladoDiscovery.
