Eye‑Catching Art

Eye-Catching Art

Visit the cultural city of Rouyn-Noranda in a different way. Since 2015, its public space has been enriched by art. Discover through this tour its parks, its alleys, its streets and its nooks and crannies that are full of the most diversified works. Whether they are municipal or private initiatives, murals or bas-reliefs, they embellish and take over these different places while bringing them a dose of meaning and beauty.

CONTEXT

Throughout this artistic journey, you will be taken on a tour of 19 works created by various local artists or mainly from the region. They have been selected to offer the visitor a variety of proposals with resolutely contemporary and daring aesthetics.

The curious visitor, by examining closely, will be able to see other works of art displayed in the setting that are worth discovering. Public art is a contagious good. It is surprising or mysterious, it multiplies with the seasons, but above all, it is generous. It's up to you to discover it!

For the first 17 works, the tour can be done quite easily on foot or by bicycle. For the last two, a car is preferable.

Handy tip while biking or driving: The Shortcut utility includes voice assistance. This option is useful for heading to any point of interest on the tour. This saves you from having to look at your mobile screen during the journey.

ON SITE

For an optimal on-site experience, we suggest that you use the BaladoDiscovery application (rather than the website) and select the option offering you to Preload the circuit. You can then access the circuit without Internet on site.
