Located on the slopes of La Soufrière since the 17th century, the Bologne plantation has undergone various types of cultivation until the mid-19th century when sugar cane monoculture was developed across all its fields.
The visit to this distillery is paid. You get a guided and commented tour, taste fresh sugar cane, receive a small bottle of water, and participate in a tasting session.
The shop is air-conditioned, and all of the distillery’s products are available for purchase, along with some related products. Some may call it marketing, and that’s true, but it’s well done and it’s legitimate for a business to promote its activity.
