Malendure Beach is located north of Bouillante, facing Pigeon Islet. Its fine volcanic sand is dark in color. The gentle slope and vast spaces make this beach an ideal place for relaxation. Coconut trees provide pleasant and cool shade for picnicking or resting.
The beach is not protected by any coral reef, but swimming is very enjoyable, and the water is particularly warm because the beach faces the Caribbean Sea, which is warmer and calmer than the Atlantic Ocean side.
Thermal Source
The natural bath of Saint-Thomas in Bouillante is the favorite spot for those who want to relax and unwind peacefully in warm water. The temperature of the water from the Saint-Thomas spring is around 80°C, but it is quickly cooled by the sea.
