Tillet Beach is located north of Deshaies, between Pointe du Grand Bas-Vent and Gros Cap. Facing the small islands of Îlet à Kahouanne and Tête à l’Anglais, it is a family-friendly beach set in a small, sheltered cove protected by a coral reef. The beach is shady and wonderfully exotic.
Access is from National Road 2, where you can park in a semi-circular parking area along the former road. From there, a stone path leads down to the beach over a distance of about 150 m. Several film shoots have taken place in the intimate, paradise-like setting of Anse Tillet.
Contrary to what many websites indicate, Tillet Beach is not a naturist beach, and naturism is prohibited there. However, it is possible to access the Sainte-Rose naturist beach by taking a trail that starts from the Tillet Beach parking lot. You will need to walk about 700 m (see Sainte-Rose Naturist Beach for details).
Open year-round.
