This magnificent blond sand beach is protected by a coral reef. It is perfect for swimming and relaxing in the shade of coconut trees. Surfing competitions are regularly held here. Further offshore, the area is ideal for surfing, influenced by northern and sometimes western swells.
The beach of La Chapelle in Anse-Bertrand is named after an old chapel that once stood there. Archaeologically, this area is where some of the oldest graves in Guadeloupe have been found. Showers, parking, restaurants, snacks, and picnic tables are available on site.
