The Kaleidoscope by Gabrielle S. Castonguay

Two colorful windows to rediscover the city

The Kaleidoscopes by Gabrielle S. Castonguay are interactive sculptures standing in the heart of downtown. With their playful shapes, vibrant colors, and translucent lenses, they invite both young and old to see their environment in a new light.

Seeing Differently

By observing the city through the lenses, landscapes fragment and recombine into a mosaic of light, greenery, and architecture. Each movement creates a new image, transforming the everyday into a surprising visual experience.

An Experience to Live

Made from wood, acrylic, painted steel, and enameled copper, these two kaleidoscopes—one designed for the little ones, the other for older individuals—invite everyone to come closer, look, and play with the colors, reflections, and textures that make up our urban landscape.
