Heart of Danville's village

On June 14, 1902, the Montreal Daily Herald published an article titled "Danville, one of the prettiest towns in Quebec". Danville is located on the border of the Eastern Townships and the Bois-Francs. The town owes its development to the arrival of the railway in the mid-19th century.

The lovely Victorian homes and American-style town square are reminders of the past. Danville is also the birthplace of several famous people, including Daniel Johnson, Prime Minister of Quebec from 1966 to 1968, and Mack Sennett, an icon of Hollywood’s silent movie era.
