The Heart of Route 66

Kingman is famous because it is the starting point of Route 66. It was founded in the 1880s by Lewis Kingman. Located on Interstate 40, Kingman is 165 km away from Las Vegas and 280 km away from Grand Canyon. This town is approximately in the middle of the path and makes an excellent choice to grab a bite.

Locomotive Park

One of the most interesting parks in Kingman is Locomotive Park. It is located on Andy Devine Avenue in the city center. You can see the steam engine AT&SF #3759, that the visitors can visit. This locomotive is part of the National Register of Historic Places.
