Masonic Temple (116 E.Vermilion) 1917

This Gothic Revival building replaced a Masonic Lodge constructed around 1857. Foreign born Architect G.B. Knapp designed this two story building. Governor Alexandre Mouton gave the land to the fraternal order which was less religious than in Europe and more civic.
