Memorial cross

It was not until 1686 that the first chapel saw the light of day. Afterwards, in 1710, the first church was built in roundwood with a thatched roof. It had eight benches. In 1722, a presbitery was annexed to it. The second church was started in 1734 and was finished in 1740. It was built in fieldstone near the first one. Photo credit: A.S.N.
