In January 1954, the three brothers Marcel, Gérard and Luc, Camille Paré' sons, founded the Paré et Frères Inc. company. This factory was specialized in wood turning for manufacturing broom handles, mops and other associated items. Paré et Frères experienced production growth and employed 20 people. In 1984, Paré et Frères Inc. sold their assets to a group of businessmen under the company name of Paré et Frères Associés. In May 1990, Paré et Frères Associés bought Brossel, merged and created Groupe Paré Brossel Ltee.
In 2004, the company ceased operations permanently following bankruptcy. The buildings were then sold to a numbered company and the space has been leased to the Norecob printing company for a few years. However, the broom handle and brush manufacturing tradition lives on with Marcel Paré Junior, who launched a new Multi Brosses factory. He then bought part of the former Groupe Paré Brossel Ltée buildings to expand and increase production. Multi Brosse is another family-run business, as his wife and three children work there.
