The Manager’s House (1904)

The Manager’s House (1904)

1200 Saint-Jean Street

Hidden behind rows of mature trees is the manager’s house.

This impressive house has several points of interest, including a large hipped gable dormer with a gingerbread trim consisting of fleur-de-lys above the front door. The shining sun motif appears once again.

The metal shingle roof using the tôle à la canadienne method is fabricated and installed by company workers. The wood windows reflect the shape of those used at Rolland Mill.
