Brunet House

Brunet House

1421 Claude-Grégoire Street

This small house, only 20 by 20 feet, belonged to the family of Simone Brunet who resided there for many years. Everyone remembers her shop where you could buy candies as well as orchids and vegetables from her garden.

In this house situated at the end of the street, note the covered porch on three sides of the residence. The house is painted in bright harmonious colours and has a sheet metal roof that the owners have conserved over time. Similar to the company houses, the house has a slightly curved gabled roof with the roof ridge facing the road, in addition to symmetrical openings.

The houses of Claude-Grégoire Street are very well maintained and reflect the owners’ desire to conserve the architectural elements of interest of their property.
