Popular in France, the United States, and Quebec in the 1930s, art deco is characterized in part by the vertical nature of elements that have layers and depressions and by the uncomplicated ornamentation composed of geometrical motifs.

The nave is where worshippers gather. In this church, its structure is rectangular, and the choir, which is straighter, ends in a flat semi-circle, called a flat chevet.
