The recreation center, at the heart of leisure

The first buildings dedicated to leisure

Noranda's first arena and curling club, in the early 1930s. These buildings were located across the street from today's Dave Keon Recreation Centre, at the corner of Murdoch Avenue and 9th Street.

Fun for everyone!

Even in 1935, there were plenty of leisure activities for everyone! See here, adjacent to the first arena, Noranda's baseball field.

Brand new and beautiful!
