Noranda Hotel, quality time and time again

Built in the city's earliest days

View from the Noranda mine.

On the center left of the photo, note the presence of the Noranda Hotel, which, despite the town's relatively undeveloped state, already sits at the center of what is now the Notre-Dame district.

The hotel, seen from Murdoch Avenue

In the background, Notre-Dame church and the Noranda cinema. The church is now home to Agora des Arts, while the cinema has been replaced by a commercial building.

The Noranda cinema

Located just to the right of the Noranda Hotel, the Noranda Cinema. Seen here in 1932.
