Located on the Route de la Traversée (in the commune of Petit-Bourg), the Cascade aux Écrevisses is a natural pool of the Corossol River. It is one of the most visited tourist spots in Guadeloupe due to its easy access. The waterfall is just a 5-minute walk from a parking area, via a paved path (accessible for people with reduced mobility).
The waterfall gets its name from the many crayfish that used to inhabit its waters, but unfortunately, they have almost disappeared.
Opposite the waterfall is a river where you can swim. By crossing the road at the parking area, you will also find a picnic area with a few huts and facilities for barbecuing.
Since the site is very popular, to enjoy the place in peace, it is best to visit early in the morning.
