Edgar Clerc Museum

Exploring Amerindian Prehistory in Guadeloupe

Adgar Clerc is an archaeologist who conducted excavations in Morel (Parc Ouatibi-Tibi) and donated his collection to the Regional General Council, which built and opened this Museum in 1984. The collections found here cover periods from 5000 BC to the end of the 19th century.

The museum is very interactive and offers numerous explanatory models as well as several reconstructions. This museum is worth a visit, for example, on a day when the weather is gloomy. It’s a great way to learn about a part of the history and prehistory of Guadeloupe.
