Sainte-Rose-du-Nord

On the north shore of the Saguenay Fjord

This tourist village of about 500 inhabitants is located on the north shore of the Saguenay Fjord, between Chicoutimi and Tadoussac. Nestled in a valley, it was once called "the Women's Descent" by the Indigenous people. It is surrounded by wooded mountains and cliffs that offer exceptional views.

Heart of the Village

You can go down to the dock for a cruise or head east along the Women's Descent road, which leads to the cove of the same name.

Since 2012, the organization L'Art Salé has been hosting the Fabulous International Dirty Folk Festival, which welcomes thousands of festival-goers from around the world each year.
