Victor-Lévy Beaulieu said that if he became a writer, publisher, polemicist, and playwright, he owes it to his childhood in Trois-Pistoles, where he first heard the stories that shaped his life. The community has changed considerably since then, yet it remains just as welcoming, “like a sunset blushing across the landscape,” and just as captivating, “like the ebb and flow of the great tides” along the St. Lawrence River.
By Bike
Cyclists can enjoy part of the Route Verte, unless they choose to leave their bikes behind to visit Île aux Basques, an exceptional sanctuary for seabirds located just offshore.
