Stéfanie Lepage works with glass by combining traditional stained glass techniques with a decidedly contemporary approach. She revisits this ancient art through new techniques, such as grout-bound stained glass and fusion.
Exploration
Her universe exudes joy: she plays with light, bright colors, and a modern drawing style that evokes naïve art and mosaics. Inspired by the universal fascination with colored glass that comes alive in the light, she explores her favorite themes—nature, houses, territory, and a love for all things local and community-oriented, reflecting her deep attachment to human connections and their interaction with the environment.
Self-taught
Stéfanie has been practicing stained glass professionally for 15 years. Alongside this medium, she incorporates other skills to design a variety of supports and structures: metal welding, wood, and ceramics. Her stained glass pieces are sometimes integrated into other architectural projects, and many of her works are designed for the outdoors, crafted to withstand different climates.
Stéfanie has accumulated over 500 stained glass sales, including numerous commissions. She has opened her studio for many training sessions and participated in multiple artistic projects and exhibitions. In 2025, she completed her first major permanent outdoor work with her two collaborators, Marc-André Tremblay (cabinetmaker) and Christopher Leduc (metalworker), a creation that generated great enthusiasm.
