Laurence Petit, also known as Gogofrisette

An open-air treasure hunt

Laurence Petit, also known as Gogofrisette, offers 40 discoveries to make during your walk.

There is no starting point or numbering to discover the Flackings. Spread along the Cultural Trail and Eddy Street, these 40 small mosaics reveal themselves randomly as you walk. Keep your eyes open: each one is a surprise!

Inspired by the cracks in the downtown sidewalks, these mosaics transform the gaps in the concrete into animals, flowers, elves, and other imaginary shapes. Like kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing objects by highlighting their cracks, they celebrate the beauty of imperfections rather than hiding them.

Through this playful and poetic intervention, the artist invites both young and old to slow down, observe their surroundings... and spread joy, one crack at a time.

About the Artist

Known as The Sidewalk Fairy, Laurence Petit transforms concrete cracks into small, colorful artworks that surprise passersby. Through her mosaics, she reveals the poetry of imperfections and invites us to see the often overlooked details of our daily lives in a new light.

Her interventions, both playful and accessible, have brought smiles to thousands by revitalizing the sidewalks of several cities. Her work is a reminder that art can emerge where we least expect it.
