The Halifax Public Gardens were unveiled in 1867. They are now one of the most beautiful examples of Victorian gardens in North America.
It stretches out on 16 acres, right downtown Halifax.
Besides all the different botanical species, we can watch statues, rock bridges, fountains, etc.
In 2003, the Public Gardens suffered from big damages following the Hurricane Juan. The reconstruction lasted almost a year and needed more than a million dollars.
