We were nomads.

Nomads

This fountain represents the nomadic behavior of the Abitibiwinni Nation. Driven by the necessity to cross the vast watershed territory by roads made out of the water with the help of their precious canoe.
In autumn to move to their winter base where they will get furs and food, to move back in spring to join the big assemblies and ceremonies so they can celebrate unions, marriages, births, enjoying the wealth of nature, sharing stories and obstacles.
 

Floating in memory

That is the reason why this family is on the lake, floating on the streams like in our memories…
