The New Worker House (1920)

The New Worker House (1920)

2910–2914 Rolland Street

The mill administrators had housing built for their employees. A semi-detached house on Rolland Street was built around 1920 on the road to the mill to accommodate new workers arriving in Mont-Rolland or whose houses were under construction.

The archives include a contract between Olivier Rolland for the company and Aldéric Dupras, architect of the parish of Mont-Rolland, for the amount of $1,500 to be used exclusively for the construction of a house on land belonging to Rolland Mill.
