Quevillon-Mongeon House

1936, chemin du Village

House with a pitched roof

Built by Roméo Millette in 1930, the original house did not have front dormer windows. Dormers on the upper floor were added when the house was turned into the first Caisse populaire de Saint-Adolphe-d’Howard bank. The house was also used as office space for the administration of the Assurances Godin insurance company, the Municipality and the school board, as well as for a hair salon and cafés.

Past owners include Messrs. Lachance, Millette, Charron, Godin, Villeneuve and finally, Quevillon and Mongeon, owners since 1976, whose care and attention have turned the house into one of the most beautiful homes in the heart of the village.
