Bell Mansion - Art Gallery

The Bell Mansion

Built in 1906 by lumber magnate and philanthropist W.J. Bell, this superb building now belongs to Laurentian University. It is home to the Art Gallery of Sudbury, which has occupied the Bell Mansion since 1968.

The building is constructed of stone cut from the Precambrian shield in the Romanesque style of architect Richardson and is picturesque in the Victorian era.
