The Rectory

Build by contractors from Saint-Victor

In 1928, Eusèbe Labbé, the builder priest, arrived in the parish and obtained permission from the Archdiocese to construct a 32 x 28-foot rectory at a cost of $4,500. The contract was awarded to contractors from Saint-Victor. The churchwardens imposed a clause: 'The workers must be from the parish, and the wood must come from the parishioners.'
