The Devil's Rapids

The Rapides-du-Diable (the Devil's Rapids)

The Rapides-du-Diable (the Devil's Rapids), over 1 km long, occupy an elbow of the Chaudière River, right upstream from Beauceville. Erosion-proof boulders are showcased and explain the riegel found here. Free.

Legend has long since taken over the topic of these rapids.

Benedict Arnold

This park is named after a legend stating that Benedict Arnold's American Army treasure was lost in 1775 and would now be managed by the Devil himself!
