Notary Desjardins’ House

1800, chemin du Village

Bungalow-style house

In 1929, Alfred Gagnon and his wife, Laurette Labelle, bought the land to build a house and raise a family. Upon the death of her husband, Laurette Labelle remarried and became the wife of Gérard Morency.

In 1983, Hervé Labelle, pharmacist and Laurette’s brother, oversaw the sale of the property to Notary Pierre-Bernard Desjardins.

The house served as both his law office and his home, in which he and his wife, Claire Guertin Desjardins, raised their family.
