Brief overview

'Each of Donald Trépanier's paintings takes us to utopian territories. His imaginary constructions translate into a pictorial research centered on the artistic questions inherent to the history of art. Between figuration and abstraction, he physically breaks down and deconstructs his representations, which allows him to take the necessary distance to deconstruct and analyze them.
