Le Draveur mural

Created in 2005 by artist Jean-Louis Cocteau, the work pays tribute to the log driver's trade, which ended around 1920.

In the region, Arcade Desjardins is perhaps the best known of these valiant workers who moved logs on the river with a long pike pole.

This symbolic scene is part of a group of 16 murals painted on buildings or walls mounted on stilts throughout downtown Sainte-Adèle. Grouped together in a historical and cultural tour, the murals depict historical and sometimes contemporary regional themes under the brush of renowned Quebec artists.
