The Pain de Sucre beach is one of the most beautiful in Les Saintes, and one of the most pleasant. Boaters love to stop there as it offers the most accessible and peaceful anchorage in Les Saintes. The downside is that on foot, it takes a 45-minute walk from the village through a rather challenging steep path to reach the beach. The beach is ideal with fine sand and is also perfect for snorkeling, as there are plenty of colorful fish around the famous Pain de Sucre.
ACCESS
Note that there are two beaches on either side of the Pain de Sucre. Petite Anse, described above, is the one located on the leeward side, while the other is on the windward coast (Anse Devant), facing the bay. This other beach is less frequented but offers a beautiful view of the bay.
