Unity Monument

Unity Monument

Unity Monument, by Louis Forcade and Jogn Ellenberger

This monument is a symbol of Canadian unity. Above the map of Canada, we see a rock with two dates underneath it: 1775-1777 and 1812-1814. These dates refer to two wars which highlight the cooperative effort of the British (soldier in red), French-Canadians (man in blue), and the First Nations (on the Maple Leaf).
