Saint-Adolphe-d’Howard Church

1845, chemin du Village

This wooden Catholic church was built in 1914 by Louis Corbeil.

The church features stained-glass windows created by famed Guido Nincheri from Montréal around 1935 as well as the artwork, Les Pèlerins d’Emmaüs, painted by Paul-Vanier Beaulieu in 1953.

The vestry houses one of the first works of Jean-Paul Mousseau created around 1960 with coloured resin on fibreglass. In 1983, the 13th and last rooster of tinsmith-artisan Claude Huot was installed at the top of the bell tower. The vestry exhibits objects of worship as well as a collection of past photos.
