Pigeon House

1953, chemin du Village

House with a gable façade

The family of beekeeper Hubert Paquette settled on lots 27 and 28 on Rang Trois in 1877. They grew buckwheat. This house was built by his grandchildren, Annette Paquette and her brother, Henri. The house eventually became the property of Hector Larivière, a policeman.

Denise Pigeon, granddaughter of Annette Paquette and wife of Maurice St-Aubin, bought back her childhood home. Behind, there was a stable, a pigsty and a chicken coop, which eventually became a flourishing garden.
